Nowadays, students find themselves pre-occupied when it comes down to getting a good night's sleep. Going on to the next day, they’ll find themselves sulking like zombies throughout their classes, bragging about the 4-6 hours of sleep they got. Then when school is over, they won’t do their homework after school and make sure to get a solid amount of sleep, but do the same thing as the day before.
Today, we have so many social media platforms bragging and telling kids how it’s “cool” to get no sleep and pull all nighters, making the idea of late nights form in students head. As much as we try to blame the homework or after school activities, there is always a way to get to bed on time! Here are some of the life changing ways to insure your time asleep:
1. Putting your phone away for the thirty minutes to an hour before you plan on falling asleep.
2. Getting school work done ASAP!
3. Cool down the temperature in your bedroom.
4. Wear socks to bed.
5. Hide your clock!
Getting a good amount of sleep is essential for every student! We can’t let ourselves fall for the idea that being tired and zombie-like is a good trait. And as much as it's understandable that sometimes we’re just overwhelmed with homework, we can’t let our school selves be the victim.
