Last Friday, I got a chance to interview some players on the the boys soccer team at AMS.
Owen Bigley is in 8th grade. He plays on the AMS boys soccer team, coached by Mr.Hickman. He is very sure that our team will have a straight winning season. His favorite position is center back because he likes to keep his team together. He is very excited to play with some great players this year. He started playing soccer because he loved being outside, he was 3 years old when he discovered the sport. He says he is friends with all of the players on the team, and he tried out for the team because it looked fun to him! He plays club soccer outside of school and enjoys it a lot.
The next player I interviewed is Dylan Riley. Dylan was 3 years old when he discovered the sport, and he is in 7th grade this year. He likes to play left back because he likes defending the goal. His role model in soccer is Lionel Messi. People may know him by: Leo, Atomic Flea and Messidona. Dylan is excited about playing soccer this year with the team, especially his good friend, Elijah B. The AMS soccer team practices Monday and Wednesday, and the games are on Tuesdays and Thursdays. He joined the team because it looked fun and because of friends.
The last player I interviewed is Jairo Ramirez, he is also in 7th grade. His role models in soccer are Mr.Hickman, the boys soccer coach at AMS. He started when he was 5 years old because it was the only thing he liked! He says that being on the AMS soccer team is very fun and he is friends with all of the players, His position is midfield. He is excited for the games this year.
From my interviews, it seems like we have a lot of great players on the team who are excited for the season! Hopefully you can make it to some soccer games and support our AMS Cougars!
