![]() The all meat diet is a diet where you eat only meat, like a carnivore. Is that really as good as it sounds? Although you do have some benefits such as you get more energy, lose weight, can prevent Lyme disease, depression, and rheumatoid arthritis, there are some bad things about it too. Eating lots of meat may cause an increase in cholesterol. You don’t get a balanced meal, and you may not live as long. It is like if you were to try to live on just marshmallows all your life; you can see that you would be very unhealthy, just like you would eating meat. Although meat is a good source of protein it is not healthy to eat only it as your only food source. Eating only meat may become a habit. After a while, it may be hard to stop. Not only is it bad for humans but it is bad for the animals you are eating. “Over 56 billion farm animals are killed every year”. That is just farm animals. Can you imagine how many more animal lives would be taken if even ⅓ of Americans were to start on the all meat diet? That is a lot of animals lost. Could you save an animal life? Think about that when you are eating pounds and pounds of animals every day because of a fad diet. In conclusion, the all meat diet is not the healthiest choice. Eating only meat may help with losing weight at first but can be unhealthy long term. The loss of animal life from the all meat diet also makes it a sorrowful choice. The healthiest choice is to have a balanced meal getting all the food and nutrients you need. Story by Alana Bridger Comments are closed.
