![]() Hi, I'm an eleven year old that loves dogs and every thing about them. Today I'm going to tell you how to teach your dog sit, lay down, and speak.
Where to Start: Sit Let's start with the easiest trick in the book, ”sit”. You will need treats and be ready to work. First start with showing the dog the treat, then put it up in the air with two fingers so your dog can see it, then see if he or she sits if they do then reward them with the treat and say sit while you do so then can get used to the word. If this isn't what happens then tap or push your dog's lower back till he/she sits. Do this till he/she understands, then you can start doing it when you feed them meals too. Lay down When you want to teach your dog to lay down you need to make sure your dog knows sit.
Speak To teach your dog to speak, you have to wait for your dog to bark then you have to say "good, speak" and give them a treat. This trick is hard to teach, so you to keep this going for a while. Every now and then say speak and see if your dog barks if they don't bark then you may have to keep the training going till they speak. Again this is a harder trick to teach but it depends on you and your dog. Thank you. I hope you got some help! Story by Kylie Taylor ![]() What will the world look like in the future? Nobody knows, but there are some thoughts on what it will look like. I read some articles and here are what they think might happen. In 20 years, the the world will fight over water. Smartphones will become capable of detecting diseases through breathalyzer screening technology. Contact lenses with cameras will become available for purchase. If you love clothes then this is good for you, technology will create smarter clothing. If you are lazy or you do not have a car, no problem! Drones will start delivering things. As it say in an article on Suncorp, people will use 3D printing to build houses. They also think that the world population will be over 9 billion. The dead sea will be almost completely dry. What do you think will happen in the future? Story by Kamora Codrington Sources: http://www.suncorp.com.au/super/grey/your-future/what-will-life-be-2035 ![]() Do not start a fight over social media: This may seem like the right idea but it will cause more problems in the long run. Bring up your conflict in person in a mature way and your life will be so much easier. Try not to over exaggerate: Is it true or relevant? It’s important not to blow things out of proportion so you can deal with your problems before they get too serious. Apologize if you were in the wrong: Be the bigger person when necessary. Accept it if you are incorrect. Try to keep the issue between the people it concerns: Unless something is harmful to yourself or others, You shouldn’t drag people who aren’t involved into your drama. That being said, find a mediator: Therapists, school counselors, teachers, parents. If you have an ongoing issue that you can’t fix yourself, find someone that you trust that is unbiased to listen and help you figure things out. Do things that keep you down to Earth: Do something that makes you happy and relieves stress. Just process everything and make the best decision you can. Cut off sources of drama if needed: If you are in a toxic friendship, being connected to that person does more harm than just letting go. Trust yourself and do what you think is best. If you can’t come to a place of peace, get advice from a mediator. (see below) Get the help you need. Since January through March is being referred to as the revival of anime, I took it upon myself to figure out other people's opinion on anime and manga and what allows them enjoy it. My first encounter was with Clara Rodriguez. Her favorite was Killing Stalking. Killing Stalking is a manga series following Yoon Bum, a scrawny quiet boy who seems to have a crush on one of the most popular guys in school, Sangwoo. Due to his obsession he followed Sangwoo to his house and what he found out was… unsettling. In the words of Clara, “It legitimately TERRIFIED me.” If you want to learn more about Killing Stalking click here. ![]() My next encounter was with Levi Witherspoon. His favorite was Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood. Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood follows the two brothers, Edward and Alphonse Elric. They are abandoned by their father and grow up with their mother. She dies of a mysterious plague, and they vow to use alchemy (elemental science using rituals that are closely related to magic) to bring her back. They train for several years and return to attempt human alchemy, knowing full well that it is forbidden. The attempt goes wrong, and at the end, Edward has lost his right arm and left leg, and Al's soul has been attached to a suit of armor. They bury their creation, burn their house down, and leave town, and that's just the beginning! In the words of Levi, “I enjoy Fullmetal Alchemist because the story is amazing and I love how the anime gives alchemy a completely new meaning”. Sword Art Online follows Kazuto Kirigaya (a.k.a Kirito). In the year 2022, the nervegear (a full dive VR headset) was released with the game Sword Art Online. Kirito, who was one of the beta testers for the game, logs in only to find out that he is trapped inside with 10,000 other players. Akihiko Kayaba, the creator of the game explains that the only way to escape is to defeat the final boss on the 100th floor of Aincrad. This is just the first episode! In the words of Dylan “While the show is not very popular… I enjoy the dialogue between characters and in my opinion the story is very well developed”. Naruto Shippuden follows the events of the original Naruto, after three years of training with Jiraiya. Naruto Uzumaki (a shinobi) returns to the Hidden Leaf Village where he meets up with his old teammate Sakura Haruno and their leader Kakashi Hatake; each of them have their own goal. Naruto’s goal is to return his best friend Sasuke Uchiha to the Leaf and away from the darkness. Kakashi’s goal is to atone for his sins of the past. Sakura’s goal is to become a more powerful shinobi and help Naruto bring Sasuke back. Finally, Sasuke’s goal is to fulfill his lust for power and to kill his brother Itachi Uchiha as revenge for killing the entire Uchiha clan. I enjoy this show because the story and character development is amazing and the show makes me actually feel bad for these characters.
